Afan Forest Park and Visitor Centre is at the gateway to 3,250 hectares of forest park with steep pine clad valley sides, rushing streams and marvellous views.
Situated only 5 miles from the hotel, this area is known locally as "Little Switzerland."
With 5 marked mountain bike trails, various bridleways and 14 signposted walks, some along ancient footpaths, there are plenty of ways to explore this wonderful area.
The centre is also home to the South Wales Miners Museum depicting life in the South Wales coalfields. Take your children on a walk back through history and learn about the way of life in the boom time of the coal industry.
